Operating since 1997, NEMUS is a consultancy company fully oriented towards the analysis, the design, the evaluation and the implementation of expert intervention projects concerning the fields of environment, land management, natural resources management and sustainable socioeconomic development.
Ever since its creation, NEMUS has been strengthening its team and increasing the variety and quality of its solutions, which currently amount to 280 concluded assignments.
The Company’s capability and competitiveness where recently highlighted by the fact that it won the Concurso Público Internacional (International Public Procurement) for handling and conducting the Environmental Assessment Studies on the new Lisbon Airport in Ota, a highly demanding undertaking from a technical standpoint which, although begun, was not concluded upon instructions from NAER – Novo Aeroporto, SA (New Airport) following the choice of a different location.
Some of NEMUS’ fields of expertise reach far beyond the usual intervening areas of similar companies, as some studies and projects in geodynamics and geotechnics, in ecological restoration and management of contaminated areas, in archaeology and planning, and, more recently, in land and investment projects’ and programmes’ assessment and diagnostic clearly exemplify.
NEMUS is built up by a multidisciplinary team, whose technical and scientific know-how is ever available for promoting the Portuguese society’s development, through quality, innovative and flexible consultancy services.
NEMUS is an associate member of the Associação Portuguesa de Projectistas e Consultores (APPC – Portuguese Association of Engineering and Management Consultants), Associação das Empresas de Tecnologias Ambientais (APEMETA – Association of Environmental Technologies Companies), Associação Portuguesa de Recursos Hídricos (APRH – Portuguese Association of Hydric Resources), Associação Portuguesa de Avaliação de Impactes (APAI – Portuguese Association of Environment Impact Assessment) and also of the Câmara de Comércio e Indústria Luso-Alemã (AHK – Portuguese and German Chamber of Commerce and Industry).
From 2002 onwards, the company has been certified to meet the NP EN ISO 9001:2000 Quality Standard (recently updated to NP EN ISO 9001:2008).
