{"id":2845,"date":"2017-10-23T14:40:47","date_gmt":"2017-10-23T14:40:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.nemus.pt\/pt\/?page_id=2845"},"modified":"2018-11-23T12:32:43","modified_gmt":"2018-11-23T12:32:43","slug":"macrozoneamento-ecologico-economico-da-bacia-hidrografica-do-rio-sao-francisco-brasil","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.nemus.pt\/en\/projects\/politicas-publicas\/ecological-economic-zoning-of-the-sao-francisco-river-basin-brazil\/","title":{"rendered":"Ecological-Economic Zoning of the S\u00e3o Francisco River Basin, Brazil"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Ecological-Economic Zoning (EEZ) is a land use plan which goal is to achieve a sustainable development, harmonising the socioeconomic growth with the conservation of ecosystems.<\/p>\n<p>The Macro-zoning (Macro-EEZ) corresponds to a macro-regional EEZ on a 1:1.000.000 scale, aiming at the provision of strategic land use indicators and the definition of areas for the detailed analysis of the EEZ.<\/p>\n<p>The S\u00e3o Francisco River Basin covers an area of 640.000 km<sup>2<\/sup>, totalling 505 municipalities distributed over seven federal units (Alagoas, Bahia, Distrito Federal, Goi\u00e1s, Minas Gerais, Pernambuco and Sergipe), and housing 15 million people.<\/p>\n<p>NEMUS\u2019 work will be guided by the following specific objectives:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Strategic assessment of the Basin<\/strong> based on the existing Diagnosis of the Macro-EEZ;<\/li>\n<li>Development of <strong>trend and alternative scenarios for the Basin (for 2027 and 2040)<\/strong>, considering the main transformation vectors of the land and their impacts;<\/li>\n<li>Organisation of <strong>participatory meetings with representative stakeholders of the Basin<\/strong> for discussing the prospective scenarios;<\/li>\n<li>Proposal for <strong>zoning and land use and occupation guidelines<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li>Organisation of <strong>dialogue tables with representative sectors of the Basin<\/strong> for discussing the management proposal;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Action plan of the guidelines<\/strong> and indicators for Macro-EEZ monitoring and evaluating;<\/li>\n<li>Geographic Database, metadata catalog and digital interactive atlas.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Ecological-Economic Zoning (EEZ) is a land use plan which goal is to achieve a sustainable development, harmonising the socioeconomic growth with the conservation of ecosystems.
