The project focused on the detailed plan of the Boavista landfill, designed to requalify and rehabilitate a mischaracterized area in the Center of Lisbon where the headquarters for EDP will be built, one of the great global energy sector operators.
The environmental assessment selected and studied the most pressing environmental issues, particularly the geology/hydrogeology and noise, subjects for which specific complementary studies were developed. The study also analyzed the factors for structuring and urban requalification, urban regeneration and territorial competitiveness, which in conjunction with the studied biophysical factors allowed for the improvement of the planning process and take into account recommendations for the mitigation of risks and the enhancement of opportunities.
