Nemus has been a consultant of reference in the development process of the Alqueva project, the largest artificial lake in Europe and also the largest investment ever made in the Alentejo region, operating since 2001 in the public and industrial water industries, particularly in the manufacturing of energy and the development of irrigation areas.

Since 1998 Nemus has conducted more than 40 projects for EDIA, including numerous environmental impact assessments and environmental monitoring, archaeological prospecting, calculation of ecological flow regimes from dams, deforestation and protection plans, recovery and enhancement of vegetation, management plans for larger reservoirs, surveying of pollution sources, waste management plans and socio-economic studies, like the identification and location of business centers within the Alqueva area.
