This project is a follow up of the river basin management plan of the Mondego River and was structured as a pilot project for the implementation of methodologies and approaches of the water framework directive.
In the study of Dão’s River basin, Nemus identified the categories and types of water bodies, conducted an analysis of the anthropogenic pressures to which they were subjected, proposed a delineation of water bodies and identified the locations with the greatest potential to become reference sites with a high ecological status.
