The mid-term evaluation of the Operational Environment Program for the period of 2000 to 2003 was part of the Community support framework for 2000-2006 with the purpose of evaluating the contribution of the program to the national environment policy, particularly in such areas as sustainable management and spatial planning, enhancement of urban environment, sustainability and economic activities.
The nationwide study and the respective update were performed on the 2002/2003 and 2004/2005 biennia, including documentary research, thorough analysis of the approved projects’ dossiers, examination of the information systems of the Operational Environment Program, a survey on all promoters, case studies covering different types of project and interviews with the representatives of the main promoters of each measure.
