This project aimed to establish the guidelines for the recovery of Barrinha de Esmoriz and its surroundings, matching the expectations of the population with the requirements for the sustainable development of the area.
The project contemplated the assessment of the need for the dike’s demolition, the hydrodynamic study of the barrier and the definition of the dredging model, taking into account the natural values of the area and the guidelines of the various entities involved in the management of an area that is part of the Natura 2000 network.
